Recently, domestic molybdenum concentrates market transactions volume are not satisfactory, while the price frequently hit records low because of the continuing decline of domestic steel mills tender price for ferromolybdenum, coupled with gloomy European molybdenum market, so both the purchasers and sellers are waiting and seeing. Molybdenum concentrate price is 1900-1950yuan/mt, with a few transactions concluded. Some domestic molybdenum concentrate price exclusive tax is 1650-1700yuan/mt, nearly no transactions.

   According to a trader in Luanchuan county, the market there is active recently, and purchasers are comparatively more, which are ferromolybdenum mills, while the traders there are waiting and seeing. A mine owner shipped out 400tons of molybdenum concentrates last week at 1940-1950yuan/mt, and they still intend to ship out. While, market of other main molybdenum concentrate producing regions are not doing well. According to a mine owner in inner Mongolia, he doesn’t give offer at present because he has already ship out 400tons of molybdenum concentrates, and he has no capital pressure now, coupled with low price and few enquiries. Domestic molybdenum concentrate market is not optimistic in short term, so market participants need to be cautious.
