According to one broker in Luanchuan area, molybdenum concentrate transaction volume was low and transaction price was at 2200-2250yuan RMB/mt last weekend. At present, some molybdenum concentrate price has fallen below 2,200 yuan / mt. Even if prices have fallen, market transactions are still rare. There are not many enterprises purchasing raw materials, and most are watching the market. Molybdenum concentrate price exclusive tax is 1900yuan RMB/mt, with a small amount of transactions. According to a mining enterprise in the region, they intended to ship out 100 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 38-39% grade, last weekend, and their offer is 2,170yuan / mt, but there were no transactions, because enterprises which intend to purchase think the price is unacceptable. According to a mining enterprise in Chifeng city, they intended to ship out 100 tons of molybdenum concentrate of grade 42-43% last weekend, with price at 2150yuan RMB/mt, but basically no transactions are closed. A mining enterprise in Jilin city planned to ship out 20 tons of molybdenum concentrate, the price is not set for the time being, because they want to watch today's market conditions before determining the shipping price.
From above situation, it can be seen that molybdenum concentrate market transactions are not so much, and most of them are in a waiting and seeing. Transaction prices hit record low again and again. If molybdenum concentrate price continues declining, it will be close to the cost of mining, part of the domestic mining enterprises are not going to ship out. Domestic molybdenum concentrate prices are probable to drop slightly in short-term, so the participants need to be cautious.
