Recently, outvol quotation tend to drop as chromium ore purchasers left the port in succession. The quotations are in confusion, domestic traders are not hurried to purchase, so enquiries are few.

According to a chromium ore trader, current market demand is extremely not satisfactory. The chromium ore which is ordered before is priced with CFR, but there is no enquiries. Meanwhile, the inventories increased, and capital turnover is in difficulty. Participants have different opinions about the time when chromium market will get better. Some people said it will get better in the end of July or the beginning of August, but some other people said it wouldn’t get better until middle August.

Industry participants said downstream steel mills demand is still gloomy, and some steel mill has already stopped production to conduct instrument recondition, so they don’t intend to purchase, which made the market demand weaker. Chromium products will drop in short time, and it’s not probable to warm up.
